Play a day game (Doesn't matter what kind of game). After any pitch, press pause and go to the instant replay. Zoom in as much as possibile, then go to the homerun wall. Become level with the grass. Then use the focusbuttons to focus in on the wall. You should seesome builings, like in Minnesota, you will see downtown Minneapolis. If you don't see it, then keep moving along the wall until you see it. It works only on day games.

Power Hitter

At the create your own player screen type in Scott Murray, He will hit a homerun every time only in power swing.

Instant Strike Against Computer

This is not the easiest code to do, and takes some practice to perfectly do every time. Just choose a fast ball, set it in the lower corner opposite the batter (if you have a right-handeder up for a batter, the set it in the lower-left corner), and make the ball just barely touch the outside corner. The batter shouldn't swing, and the umpire should call it a strike. They will hit it sometimes, but very rarely, and will sometimes ball. Please don't complain to me or GameSages or anyone because this is usually human error or a really good batter. Like I said, this is hard to perfect.

Extra Out after Catching a Fly Ball

Catch a fly ball and throw it to 2nd base. Then, throw the ball back and forth between the 2nd baseman and the shortstop (just keep pressing triangle). Eventually, one of the two players will throw it away into left center field. If you catch the ball with the center fielder, the umpire will say out as when you normally get an out.

Easy Hits

To get a easy single or sometimes a double you turn average to power and then you hold down and swing and hit the ball sharply to centerfield but sometimes you will ground into Double Plays.

Bloopers Video

Turn on the game, but don't press any buttons. Let the game run all the way through the introduction and the demo half inning of the game. After that, it will go back to the MLB2000 Logo and the bloopers video will start.

Big Heads

At the Start/Options menu, press R1 + X + R2 + Select simultaneously. A beep will confirm the code.

Hidden surfer

At the loading screen, hold R1 + R2 + Right + Square.

Bonus surfboards

Successfully complete the game to unlock a hidden surfboard. Complete the game with the new surfboard to unlock an additional surfboard. This may be repeated to obtain a total of five bonus surfboards. This may also be done in season mode to unlock five more bonus surfboards.

This isn't so much a cheat, but it obviously was an oversight in Madden 2000. An easy way to build up a team in Franchise mode, is to first, free up a lot of cap room. Second, at the end of the season, with all of your free cap room, when it's time to sign free agents, sign as many young players (22-26yrs) as you can afford, or fit on your team. Then with a crop of young players, trade them to other teams for their draft picks. Many times if you package 2 rookies with one of your lower round draft picks, you can trade them for another teams first round pick. Do this until you end up with (if you're good) 7 first round picks. Every few years, there is an exceptional draft, where there are players in every position in the high 80's. Then sign them to the longest contact you can, and in 2-3 yrs they will be in the high 90's. Everyone you don't or can't trade, simply release them, or many times keep them. This is a good way to keep those dynasties alive.

Dance to the endzone

Press Triangle when on a breakaway for a touchdown to have your player dance to the endzone.

Pump up the crowd

Press R2 when you are the home team playing on defense and the player selection icon is on a linebacker or defensive back. The player will raise his hands up and the crowd's noise level will increase.

Franchise mode trades

In franchise mode, trade for Kyle Brady TE for Jacksonville Jaguars. Brady will trade to or for just about anybody including draft picks. Make sure to include someone to trade for when getting Brady back. The best trade for Brady is Seattle OLB Chad Brown, CB Shawn Springs, and to the Vikings for RB Rod Smith, OG R. Mcdaniel. Also try trading Brady to Dallas for OG Larry Allen, SS Darren Woodsen. Remember Brady is expensive.

Build a good team

If you goto franchise mode and use 3 users. You can steal their 1st round picks every year until they get fired. You can also take all their good players. And in a few seasons you will have a superbowl team.

Konami Man

Did you know that you can get the Konami Man to appear in some of the events? Well you can and the classic Konami code to make it work will also change the appearance of the female athletes. To enter the cheat go to the Events Selection screen and press UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, CIRCLE, X. If you enter it correctly you will hear a sound effect.

Alternate female athletes

At the events selection screen, press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle, X to change the appearance of the female athletes and have the Konami Man appear in certain events. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.

Blimp

Finish the 100 meter dash with a time that has the same number in the last and second to last place.

Mole

Finish the long jump with a distance that has the same number in all three places.

Space Shuttle

On javalin throw put turbo on and run at full speed ( if you can run full speed without turbo) and throw the javalin at 70 degrees or higher and watch.

Replace Pitcher

With 2 or more pitchers in the bullpen press Down + Square to replace pitcher.

Invincibility

When your mission is loading (the little disc is floating in the upper right corner) hold down L1, L2, R1, and R2 until your mission has fully loaded. You should see a little box in the upper left corner that says "cheat." After you make 2nd Lieutenant, the pilots under your command will also be invincible.

Unlimited ammunition

Hold L1 + L2 + R2 + X during the entire loading screen with the helicopter that appears after receiving the mission orders. The word "Cheat" will appear in the upper left corner of the mission screen to confirm correct code entry.
